After lasting (almost) five years, our computer has kicked the bucket. The hard drive refuses to boot and so we have enlisted the help of Geek Squad to remove our information (hopefully). We have recently made one of our (biggest) purchases in that last few years on Saturday and bought a new computer. Hurrah – back to blogging!
Computer Death Recap.
With the computer being down, I haven’t had time (nor the method) for blogging. Just a few pics, with quick taglines by Charlie. I spent an evening with Aunt Shirley and Uncle Terry. And was even babysat by my cousin Jonathan. I tried bananas (homemade)…for the first time…and liked them very much (they have yet to make me constipated)! I went… View Post
Beating the Heat
Charlie and I spent the morning in the shade of our own abode. We kept the curtains closed, the A/C on, and the fans blowing as we tackled the laundry and some household chores. After lunch, we ventured to our friends’ house for a little fun and baking! Charlie meets Jim (not his daddy) for the first timeCharlie and Emily… View Post
Just call me Betty Crocker…
I made my first attempt at making Charlie’s food on Father’s Day. It was also his first time with Sweet Potatoes…scroll down to see what he thought… Step 1. Boil the heck out of the potatoes (didn’t have time to bake them that day!)Step 2. Puree the heck out of the potatoesStep 3. Serve to unsuspecting baby and yield the… View Post
Father’s Day
Father’s Day was a bit busy with Charlie’s dedication and all, but what a great First Father’s Day for Jim! We started the day with cuddles in bed as a family, gifts (opened the day before for the BBQ – two BBQ mops, a Weber Grill book, and a brand new grill that will soon grace our balcony), and then… View Post
Charlie’s Dedication

Charlie’s Dedication BBQ
In light of Father’s Day, we decided to have Charlie dedicated at church. This ceremony is usually much smaller than a Catholic baptism or christening and we kept things VERY small, inviting immediate family and another couple from our church. Since we knew people may have plans on Father’s Day, we held his celebration BBQ the day before (filled with… View Post
Kelly and Paul get married!
A childhood friend of mine and her sweetheart got married today! Congrats to the lovely couple! The wedding was beautiful! (despite my impromptu reading!)Charlie was babysat by his cousins (and Mimi and Uncle David). It seemed like everything went well – at least that’s what they told me. We had barely dropped him off before Kaeli snatched him and said,… View Post
Peas, Please
Charlie tried his green veggies for the first time and he didn’t even flinch! My little human garbage disposal seems to love it all!
Two Weekends Ago (June 6th & 7th)
In the hype of daddy (Jim) leaving, I never got an opportunity to blog about our weekend. We attended Xander’s 6th Birthday Party (Batman theme). Yes, I jumped in the inflatable jumping house and Kaeli and I managed to beat a certain birthday boy and a certain husband at inflatable basketball (despite their best attempts to cheat). Just a few… View Post

Bubble Boy
We tested out bubbles for the first time with Charlie on Sunday. We used a machine, fashioned after the Stitch character from Disney, that continuously blows bubbles (and essentially, does all the work). Charlie alternated between following a path of bubbles, reaching for one, and then yelling at the machine when it didn’t IMMEDIATELY spit out more bubbles.
