This past weekend, we visited our friends, Bethany & Erik down in southern Illinois. As his birthday present, we also brought along my nephew, Jonathan, to hang out with their boys, Parker & Kent. The drive on Friday night was…interesting! Charlie refused to sleep, Jonathan experienced some night terrors, and asked “Are we there yet?” 27 times in the first… View Post

Friends’ Weekend
Mother’s Day
We had a fairly low-key Mother’s Day weekend. On Saturday, we did the Groovin’ in the Grove 5k (walked as a family) and then headed to dinner at Outback Steakhouse with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Dan, Aunt Sara, and baby cousin-in-utero. On Sunday, we relaxed, played at Pilcher Park (Joliet) & walked through the botanic gardens and greenhouse. We enjoyed great… View Post
Last Day of Seedlings…
Sniff, Sniff! Our class came and went too quickly! We had a great time exploring nature, playing, finding new friends and meeting animals. Charlie did wonderfully!
Happiness is…

Today was all about dirt, mud, bugs, snakes & the greenhouse! Charlie enjoyed the dirt, not so much the mud, played with a bumblebee puppet, touched a Boa constrictor, made a plant, and danced with the instruments. This was probably one of his favorite days!!!

Charlie’s First Parade
That he participated in! (sort of) We headed to our nephews’ (David – Mariners & Jonathan – Cardinals) baseball parade. Jim helped out by walking with Jonathan’s team and picked up Charlie along the way!

Another Zoo Day
We went to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa today (Daddy’s mom & dad). It was loads of fun! Your most favorite part was running around with the goats – your first time officially meeting them on your own! You refused to sleep, you wanted to walk everywhere (which takes quite a bit of TIME!) and you stepped on many… View Post
