With family, holidays tend to turn into weekend long events which equals lots of food & fun! On Saturday, we spent time with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jason, Auntie Kooks & Jasie – we ordered pizza and enjoyed some time just hanging out! On Sunday, we grilled all.day.long (ribs, shrimp, steak, veggies, & fruit) & fit in some swimming with Momma… View Post
Happy Father’s Day!!
To the man of my dreams, the father of my children, and the light of my life. We love you!
The Zoo!
Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE having the Brookfield Zoo pass? It was the best investment made right before Charlie was born & we plan on renewing it this year. We met up with some old friends to see the new bear exhibit! When I started law school, I met this awesome family through Sitter City and became… View Post
In the Wilderness
We decided to embark on a mini-Getaway with my brother & his family to Wilderness Territory (an indoor waterpark extravaganza) in Wisconsin. We rented a townhouse-like space (we enjoyed the king-size bed) & made a few of our meals in-house. Half of our troop witnessed the Blackhawks clinch it, while the other half (the ladies), shopped for the next day…. View Post
Oak Lawn Pet Parade
Charlie went to his second parade of the year today – the Oak Lawn Pet Parade! Although it was small, we had a ton of fun playing with Grandma & Grandpa (and getting poured on!) Charlie loved watching all the puppies go by! Buddy the Elf also made an appearance, but we didn’t get a chance to pass our Christmas… View Post
Kaeli’s Dance Recital
Charlie did surprisingly well during his second recital for Kaeli (the first year, he was around five months old). He sat through *most* of it and threw out his binky during the “dark” times when the music was off & dancers were not performing. He would fake cough and screech as if this would somehow spur them on….Kaeli was beautiful… View Post
Charlie’s 2nd LaGrange Pet Parade
The first year, he fell alsleep. This year, he jumped around in the rain and puddles. The LaPav family was nice enough to snag some prime seats with curb-side rain coverage (most everyone stood under this shelter). The rain seemed to come hard and fast from the beginning to end of the parade and the sun shone brightly after! I… View Post
Charlie’s First White Sox Game
The game was so-so, the company was good, and the food was great! Charlie had a GREAT time and did so well, despite a few spurts of rain! The White Sox lost (big surprise), but the fireworks were nice at the end (sponsored by the Blackhawks). Mommy even caught a t-shirt while holding Charlie – what a great (free) souvenir!… View Post
A Sixteen-Month-Old’s Best Friend…
is our vaccuum! They even play catch together!
Picnic in the Park
To enjoy another beautiful day as a family, after work, we met Daddy at our local park for some food and fun! Charlie is getting SO BIG now and climbs up and down the equipment while slipping down the slide! I can hardly believe how grown up he is….
Grape Lover
Just a note…
I haven’t been up with blogging this much, primarily because I have had no motivation for picture taking. However, with many big things happening in June, I promise that this month will be full of pictures & fun! I hope you keep following our story along!
