A Birthday Party & A Wedding
Starting after vacation, we knew our weekends would be hectic. This is just the start of it…we headed to Killian’s 5th Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheese where Daddy & I played games for Charlie, he rode a few rides, and we walked away with bellies full of pizza & prizes! (stickers, a mini-lizard, and 3 tootsie-pop mini-suckers). Here are… View Post

Vacation 2010, Day 10 – Final
What was possibly the.longest.day.of.vacation. was when we made our final trek home. What should have taken approximately 8 hours turned into twelve with traffic and unanticipated out of the way stops. This day was rather boring as we reminisced about the fun we had, memories, and enjoyed some pretty decent food! Our breakfast stop was Loveless Cafe & Motel in… View Post
Vacation 2010, Day 9
Today was our first day driving back and after making the preparations the night before, we were out the door at 6:00 a.m. Eastern time. We snagged a quick breakfast at McDonald’s and kept the DVD player OFF most of the time. After being led to the wrong North Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, we finally reached our destination, The Varsity,… View Post
Vacation 2010, Day 8
Our day started out wonderfully as Jim and I were greeted by the sunrise. After getting up early before the sun started to come out, we headed out while Charlie was still asleep and headed to the beach to catch the most breath-taking view. We gathered seashells, walked a ton, and watched what can only be described as awe-inspiring. The… View Post
Vacation 2010, Day 7
This morning was a lazy start for the household – Charlie woke up later & Jim made breakfast in with leftovers (smoked sausage, green peppers, onions, & scrambled eggs – made into a scramble with toast). Yum! Poppy added fresh strawberries! We then headed out to the beach to meet Justin for some more sun n surf time. It was… View Post
Vacation 2010, Day 6
Today was probably one of our most relaxing days to date. After enjoying Poppy’s Chocolate Chip Pancakes, we ventured out to explore the outdoors a bit. We drove for a while, came back, and then traveled to a treasure shop that housed thousands of house doodads that made my head spin! We will surely visit there again before we leave!… View Post
Vacation 2010, Day 5
We started out the day pretty simply with breakfast in and then made the 2-hour trek up to Savannah, Georgia. The destination – Paula Deen’s Restaurant “Lady & Sons” open in 1989! We were excited to dig right in – we all opted for the buffet which featured a wide variety of southern cooking – lima beans, country fried chicken,… View Post
