Charlie was truly one of the lifes of the party and was a real casanova in his velvet jacket. He LOVED opening presents, was spoiled immensely and enjoyed spending time with the all of the family that I love!
Pinkalicious
For birthdays & Christmas, we have recently transitioned with our oldest niece & nephews into DOING things rather than GIVING them things. It’s always quite the task to find something they’ll enjoy, but this year, I think I did fairly well! Kaeli slept over, ate breakfast for dinner, had a homemade mocha frappe in our new maker & we headed… View Post

1st Annual Schultz Family Christmas
Since the family has literally been growing and we will have added FOUR babies in almost two years, we decided it was perhaps time to branch off and start a new tradition of celebrating Christmas in advance so that all the cousins could play together this past Sunday! Although the day was not without its eventfulness, a good time was… View Post
Christmas Grab Bag Fun!
This past weekend, we enjoyed our zillionth annual Grab Bag fun with my sister-in-law’s family. The delicious food was catered by Papa Joe’s (YUM!) and the desserts were plentiful…Charlie snagged a giant Zurg (Toy Story) punching bag & a magna doodle with drawing book also Toy Story. Baby-to-Be received a snuggly blanket and fun monkey toy to enjoy!! I ended… View Post
Big Brother & Baby
It’s not often that I catch moments like this. Of my ever-expanding belly and my growingly clingy firstborn. It won’t be long now before the baby in my belly takes up the crook of my other arm and I couldn’t be happier. This holiday season, I am overwhelmed at the blessings in my life & squeeze them a little tighter… View Post
“God Loves Me More Than That” by Dandi Daley Mackall
I have recently fallen into an opportunity to review some books and post my thoughts on this blog. I would highly recommend the book, “God Loves Me More Than That” by Dandi Daley Mackall. “God Loves Me More Than That” covers quite the spectrum as far as a child’s life is concerned. From nature to the circus to the alphabet,… View Post

Mommy “Sentiment”al Post – Binky & Blankie
*Warning – EXTREMELY sappy post ahead.* On December 3, 2010, we said goodbye to a dear friend – the binky. Since Charlie had been (almost) inseparable from the binky & blankie AND since the binky & blankie come as a pair, this meant that the separation would have to include BOTH binky & blankie for a time (I have every intention… View Post
Brunch with Santa at Brookfield Zoo
We started a tradition last year of brunching with Santa at Brookfield Zoo for Daddy’s birthday. I’m not sure how much daddy actually enjoys it (although he LOVED the coffee this year), but the delight on Charlie’s face is probably gift enough. It was FREEZING and windy this year, so we only made it to the penguin exhibit before brunch,… View Post
“O Christmas Tree!” – The Final Product
Checking each bulb… Beautiful. The first ornament hung. Hanging the others… The topper. Inspecting his handiwork….and removing all of the candy canes for his consumption.
“Happy Birthday, Daddy!”
It’s hard to believe that I met the father of my children over 13 years ago – when we were still in high school. Today, I celebrate my husband, the love of my life, and the father to my two beautiful children on his 28th birthday. He is the type of guy who has embraced fatherhood 100% and in recent… View Post
