One of our favorite things to do prior to traveling is to find some of the very best foodie finds prior to going so we know exactly what we are getting ourselves into! Because we LOVE to sample, Jim and I typically share the “hot” items and are able to sample MORE things without breaking the bank. We also share the family favorites (sometimes multiple times!) once we KNOW we love it!
Up first – Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California
With a similar vibe to Hollywood Studios in Florida, this Disney park has ALL THE THINGS (specifically Radiator Springs which I am low-key obsessed with! More on that later!)
Without further ado, here are some of our FAVORITE finds in California Adventure:
The SWEETS at Trolley Treats
HUGE cookies, delicious caramel apples, cake pops, GIANT Rice Krispies and MORE! These beautifully decorated desserts are perfect for sharing and are the perfect mid-afternoon snack or morning vacation breakfast! They are ALL the MOUSE shapes and are reminiscent of an old-fashioned candy shoppe. Buena Vista Street forever!
Food Truck!? Yes, please at Studio Catering Co.
These DELICIOUS Chicken Cilantro tacos were fresh, amazing, and the perfect lunchtime treat! Jim and I split the three tacos, but there were also nachos, a burrito, and refreshing drinks. This hidden gem is right near the Monsters, Inc. ride and is the perfect pitstop while you’re waiting for your favorite superheroes! (Plus, the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! ride is right up the street – win! win!)
ALL THE CONES at Cozy Cone Motel
Lifted STRAIGHT from the movies, this grouping of Cozy Cone Motels has everything from sweets to popcorn to CONE SHAPED MEALS! We opted for the Bacon Mac ‘n Cheese this go around, but there is something for EVERYONE! Plus, who doesn’t love a visit with Lightning McQueen with the gorgeous scenery in the backdrop? This is a MUST STOP if you are heading here for a trip!
Wind down with a Funwheel at Alfresco Tasting Terrace!
This adult layered drink is perfection and refreshing with the park in the background! Previously found at the Cove Bar near Paradise Pier – we found this at the Alfresco Tasting Terrace near the winery. Paradise Pier is currently undergoing a transformation into PIXAR PIER (SO EXCITED!) so we had to hunt to find this park specialty. A great way to beat the heat AND have a little relaxation before hittin’ the Racers once again!
These are just a FEW of our favorite things here and ones that we DEFINITELY recommend! Kid AND mom/dad approved!
