This past weekend, our crew headed over to U.S. Cellular Field to check out the Chicago White Sox play one of the last games on family days of the year! We were treated to the Diamond Suites, delicious eats, and plenty of treats! The weather was H-O-T, but the company was cool and we had an amazing time!
The view from the Suites was GORGEOUS and perfect! We were able to watch the Chicago Bears game simultaneously – which meant we didn’t miss any of the action!
The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD – all-beef hot dogs, salad (with the most amazing cornbread croutons), beef sandwiches, fried chicken, OUT OF SIGHT mac ‘n cheese, and more. The boys were in seventh heaven and Jack LOVED being able to “order” from our server (who was BEYOND ridiculously nice and offered up GREAT information about the suites, the park, and the team)!
The boys loved every minute and the space was the perfect way to enjoy the game! Family days are THE BEST times to take your family and experience ALL that the park has to offer!
Family Sunday features kid-friendly activities such as face painters, balloon artists and a
caricature artist. Kids ages 10 and under eat free off the kid’s menu at ChiSox Bar & Grill
(located outside the ballpark near Gate 5). Below are some additional family-friendly activities
available through the season:
In-Game Take some swings at XFINITY Fundamentals. The White Sox give kids a
place to run around at the ballpark, with a 15,000-square-foot area devoted to
teaching young White Sox fans the fundamentals of the game. It is in left field
and accessible from the 100, 300 and 500 levels.
In-Game Get your first game certificate. White Sox rookies should stop by the Rookie Corner near Section 154 to pick up their first-game certificate.
Post-Game Run the bases (weather permitting). As part of Family Sundays, presented by
Coca-Cola, families are encouraged to stick around after the game to run the
bases. Kids can line up to run the bases in Section 124 starting in the 8th inning.
The boys had the opportunity to run the bases in the past and absolutely LOVED IT! The biggest “kid” in our family had a blast and really enjoyed our opportunities to check out the behind the scenes with our crew! Spring training is right around the corner and plenty of chances to attend those Family Days in 2018! Hope to see you then!
