I was asked to be part of the Netflix #StreamTeam and share posts each month based on my experience. We are longtime Netflix users and cannot wait to share our experiences with you! All opinions are of course are own!
If you follow me on social media, then you will know for the past year, I have watched my family dive headfirst into the PokemonGo craze. I was a MASSIVE, HUGE skeptic at first, so much so that I oftentimes thought they were experiencing the rapture and being taken away in a flash without me knowing. It was pure hysteria and my family was being swept away without my consent.
In fact, just a year ago, I was like Pokemon Who? and then admittedly fell head over heels into a game that has sucked me in so hard (that’s what she said). About a month and a half ago (yep, that’s all), I was embarking on a cross-country road trip with the boys. Rather than fight my husband for his account every other day, he encouraged me to download it “for the boys” and catch things along the way. I was admittedly….perturbed. Using precious storage on my already almost full phone for Pikachus?! Come on now.
But alas, I feel into the game and right off the deep end. By the time we came home, I was scoping out PokemonGoFest tickets (didn’t work out thankfully), itching to level up and find all the Pokemon that I had not yet caught. I was a 180 degree addict and proudly admit that I have come far over to the dark side.
I was skeptical when I realized he was out “raiding” with people. Perfect strangers? Meeting up at gym locales to take down imaginary Pokemon and then attempt to catch them? Sounds sketchy to me. I went once and well…
Let’s just say. My name is Samantha and I have a problem.
And yes, I may have gloated when I caught this MUCH BETTER THAN MY HUSBAND’s Snorlax.
Raiding with a group is so much more than I can put in this post, but let’s just say – it has really added a fun element to our summer. More on that later (and yet again, thanks to my hubby for not kicking me out after I was SUCH a Poke-skeptic for so long!)
In an effort to educate myself (because there are like 1 million generations), the fastest way to school yourself on all things Pokemon is NETFLIX! Here are some of our must-see Pokemon TV when it comes to streaming to give you ALL the knowledge you need to prepare for future generations AND to find out how to correctly pronounce most of the names.
On his quest to become a Pokémon training legend, Ash sets out on the road with his new pals: sassy Misty and Brock, an ambitious Pokémon breeder. Get ready for all the adventures and take it WAY back to when I was in junior high (Helloooooo, 1997!)
Ash and his friends, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie, travel through the Kalos Region and encounter amazing new Pokémon and formidable gym leaders. This is one of the coolest ways to check in – look at gym leaders – and see where you just might be headed next on your adventures!
As Ash and his allies explore the Kalos region, they encounter friends and foes, including Team Flare and a mysterious Mega Evolution Trainer. (Newest release: 2016!)
Skeptics may still say I’m crazy (I am!), but I finally feel like I have something that I “get” when it comes to the life of boys. I understand their language now and as a parent, that’s honestly half the battle. It’s a fun morning, noon, and night activity and one that gets us amped up to spend time together (crazy, right?!) Add in a little Netflix streaming on those down days and we have the perfect formula for catching them all!
Have you bought into the Pokemon craze? Which Pokemon on your favorites?
