The Fitness Marshall provides hip-hop cardio workouts to the hottest songs (think Ariana, Ed Sheeran, Britney, and more) as they come out and recently went on tour across the country on an exercise concert circuit.
Feeling totally free to be your very best self – I was surprised how one hour could feel so freeing and on the second to last song had some sort of experience that almost involved crying when he encouraged people to feel the music and just really embrace themselves and their body as they were in that very moment. I’M NOT CRYING. YOU’RE CRYING.
The atmosphere was upbeat. The company was rad. And the experience was one that I wish I could relive every day, but I’ll have to settle for YouTube.
An hour of exercise without feeling like you’re working out? CHECK.
Dancing to your fave music without a care in the world? CHECK.
Feeling free, footloose and fancy? CHECK.
Joining a body positive movement about embracing the best you in that very moment? CHECK.
In a world where we have constant reminders that we are not good enough, not beautiful enough, and just not enough, it was a brilliant reminder that we are all of those things and more and that the best life is worth dancing for.
