Happy almost September!
The school supplies are purchased, the kids are headed back to school, and your sanity is *mostly* still intact. AND you can finally watch all the things you’ve been meaning to watching, but couldn’t because your kids commandeered the television all summer! Time to add some titles to your queue and get streaming!
One of my fave shows – all about the music – now’s the time to watch it from the beginning – whether for the first time or the fifth, this classic will have you ready to go back to high school yourself.
BECAUSE YOU ONLY HAVE LIKE THREE MONTHS UNTIL STARS HOLLOW COMES BACK FOR A REVIVAL IN NOVEMBER ON BLACK FRIDAY. Watch it NOW so you can be prepped and ready to go ASAP!
This is all the things that have ever been a thing and William H. Macy is BRINGING IT in this series that is still going on Showtime. You have time to catch up since Season 7 comes out in October, but until then – watch this while the kids are away because it is LIFE.
Drug cartels and illegal activity? YAS. Watch this show to live vicariously through these gangsters and see life on the gritty side. You’ll fall addicted to this show faster than the time your kids have in recess.
While your streaming this Fall, prep this delicious drink – Apple Pie Sangria – a version the whole family can enjoy! (Feel free to spike for yourself when needed).
For this recipe, you will need apple juice, cinnamon sticks, pieces of caramel candy, cinnamon, diced apples and pears, and sparkling seltzer water.
To start, you will be creating an apple cider base. You can either create this on the stovetop or in your crockpot. Boil a jug of apple juice with a bottle of cinnamon sticks. The smell will be AMAZING! Melt your caramel pieces down and swirl into your brimming cider – this will add an element of depth and give you that apple pie oomph you’ve been craving.
Once you’ve boiled for a time, let cool completely. Add to your serving glass or pitcher and add 1 can of Sparkling Seltzer water for each cup of the apple cider mixture. Serve with diced apples and pears for a garnish with a swirl of whipped cream and a caramel candy.
Striped straw + sweetness = ENJOY!
You can also serve this as a special after school sweet treat while they enjoy a little streaming on their own. Here are some of our current faves (and Netflix originals!):
