Eleven years ago, I married my high school sweetheart and one of my favorite images from our big day is one that reminds me of something out of GQ. My hubby had (and still has!) a baby face with coiffed hair and perfectly groomed sideburns. He still has that same look today and I love him all the more.
Throughout the week, he works hard for our family – going to work, taking time to work out during his lunch hour, and finding time to take care of himself while also spending time with our family. In anticipation of his birthday (and Christmas) this month, I thought I’d put together a little grooming gift bag for him to bring along in his gym bag to ensure that he has what he needs to “pamper” himself at work.
The goal of my grooming gift-to-go is for him to have everything he needs for personal pampering away from home. The inspiration for the bag actually came from the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3100 – the perfect way to create the look you want without the need for a full shave while you’re away.
This all-in-one trimmer has five attachments that fit all of your needs and is great for when he’s finished running and can fine-tune that chiseled GQ face. Does personal grooming get any simpler than that?
Other items to consider including:
After shave and cologne – fresh and the perfect complement to the Multigroom
Balm for hands to keep winter dryness away
A travel tissue packet
Squeeze water bottle to make running and hydration simpler
Plus, as a fun little bonus, I included some of his favorite K-Cups to use in his Keurig at work. A little token of our appreciation and a treat to perk up his day.
He’s be ready to be pampered “at work” in no time!
A few more tips for creating ideal gift baskets in general this season:
Utilize baskets and bags that are functional – people will love the ability to reuse your gift over and over again.
Keep their interests in mind – whether they are an athlete or they enjoy a particular kind of treat, try to include something you KNOW they will absolutely love – the rest will be a nice bonus.
Replicate ideas for ease of gift assembly – this season, I worked on collecting things for teacher gift baskets throughout the month. Each teacher will receive a similar gift basket with slight variations. By creating the same gifts, purchasing what I need is simpler and streamlines my season craziness.
