I was the SoFabU Atlanta Mitsubishi VIP and received a Mitsubishi car to test-drive for a week. All opinions expressed are my own. #DriveMitsubishi
After trekking to Atlanta for SoFabU on the Road and exploring the city in my favorite leggings, I headed back up north and came home to this beauty awaiting me.
A 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
This Crossover SUV is just perfect for a family on the go and with two boys in tow, I was ready to get this bad boy rolling.
I’m not going to lie, one of my absolute favorite features was the sunroof. October weather in Chicago is GORGEOUS and I loved the idea of getting the sporty, luxury feel of a sports car with the size of a traditional SUV.
I didn’t close the sunroof all week. Even when it was a bit overcast.
{Note: This was not taken while driving. We were waiting in the school parking lot.}
The trunk is massive and the seats come down. Whether I’m headed to the grocery store, lugging sports gear, or need to grab something extra large from IKEA, this car has the space to accommodate it. My brother’s kids even wanted to hitch a ride with us most of the week…
I think we can thank these speakers for that. The perfect complement to our Satellite radio stations – I was able to blast Pitbull all week and feel like I was standing right up front at one of his concerts. If you haven’t checked out his station, you’re missing out.
The feel of the car is sleek. The attention to details and the repetition of round shapes throughout and well thought-out for the design.
I also LOVED the button start ignition that didn’t require a key. But just remember to have the keys nearby. I may or may not have ran into a store while my husband sat in the car with the boys. The car remained on, but he couldn’t drive up to get me. Consider that a helpful tip for you!
The car offers numerous cupholders for ease of your passengers, driver, and if you’re on a road-trip. As a mom of littles, storage is KEY for me and this car definitely provides those compartments for everything you need.
Coffee and water holders? Check!
Even one near the gearshift for extra drinks for your front seat passenger.
This was my FAVORITE cupholder spot. Between the boys’ seats, this part folded down like a little table. Cupholders and a nice space to rest toys and other road trip finds, I was obsessed with this little hidden gem. The boys insisted on having it unfolded throughout the week and it fit perfectly between their carseats.
Speaking of carseats, a huge traditional carseat and a booster seat fit in the car beautifully. Our current car is a tight fit, but this had room for a guest in-between and plenty of legroom. For growing boys, that is a HUGE plus for me.
My husband also loved the front seat because he didn’t feel like he was getting into a clown car. He fit just perfectly.
Remember the awesome trunk? I had an epic trip to Target for Halloween goodies and everything fit, plus I had room for more. I could not believe the trunk space. And I loved the fact that it was massive enough for everything I needed, spacious enough for our family, but didn’t feel like I was driving something gargantuan that was unmanageable or difficult to maneuver.
We didn’t quite make it off-roading, but we definitely did some significant mileage in this car.
Did I also mention it’s the perfect place for naps? (Note: I am ALSO not driving and photographing at the same time. My hubby was driving and I was a passenger).
