Last week, I had the opportunity to head to the top of Water Tower Place and visit the Chicago Sports Musuem right outside of Harry Caray’s restaurant. Filled with sports memorabilia and plenty for the sports enthusiast to enjoy, I had a blast checking out the Museum, its highlights (including the infamous Bartman ball!) and exploring a bit on my own. I’m looking forward to bringing Jim and the boys back for a great time there!
Matt Kenseth of NASCAR fame
While there, we had an opportunity to meet Matt Kenseth of NASCAR fame. Winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year award in 2000, Kenseth became the only rookie to ever win the Coca-Cola 600, joining the sports elite in 2009 when he won his first of two Daytona 500s, becoming only the fifth driver in NASCAR history to win rookie of the year. With his widespread success, it’s no wonder that Citizen decided to partner with him as a brand ambassador for CITIZEN brand watches.
In conjunction with Wieden+Kennedy, Citizen launched a brand new belief that no matter where you are or whatever your circumstances, better is just around the corner and you can always start pursuing something better. Even with wins behind him, Kenseth has that drive and energy that makes him a great connection to this company. Citizen introduced the Satellite Wave World-Time GPS (the one on the banner behind Matt!)
I’m going to be talking a bit about the Ecosphere in an upcoming post (AND GIVEAWAY!) The Ecosphere has a stainless steel case with a black finish and black dial, this watch is the perfect addition to any man’s wardrobe and I’m excited to check it out in the next few weeks. Stay tuned as we’ll also be running a giveaway then as well!
