Happy August – end of Summer – back to school season! My little misters are heading back to school and we’re finishing our summer fun while we prepare to pack school supplies. As usual, we’re talking about our favorite Netflix finds this month and what’s helping us pass the time on those bad weather days, in the half hour of free time before school, and vegging as a family on the couch!
New this month is a HUGE family favorite – Dinotrux! This Netflix original series blends the rough and tough construction trucks with dinosaurs and these little misters are in LOVE! We were even surprised with some Netflix goodies to prepare, including River Rocks (that were actually tasty chocolate!)
Charlie LOVED his trucker hat! And it looked adorable on him!
He definitely needs that “hard” hat with all of his adventures!
The series only has ten episodes right now, so you’ll speed through them quickly, but I guarantee your kids will fall in LOVE with the series!
What else we’re watching
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
This pick is reminiscent of my childhood and definitely is a favorite of the boys! They love the colors, selecting their favorite ponies, and talking about the magical elements.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager
My monthly television guilty pleasure. I heart Shailene Woodley, so there you go. I’m only in season one and so far, I love it.
Daddy’s pick. He said it was pretty good!
Wet Hot American Summer (also a Netflix Original Series)
Just started watching this recently, but has a ton of big names and is HILARIOUS! Highly recommend so far!
