Hello, friends! I hope you are having a FABULOUS week! Here’s week two of our House Tour and I’m glad you came to “visit” again. We’ve had some BIG changes to our little abode and I couldn’t be more in love with this space. Charlie started school this week and everything seems to be fitting together nicely.
We tested out our ancient broiler. SURPRISE! IT works, so we created these DELICIOUS Chicken Pizza Pockets. OH MY YUM.
We also snagged bunk beds from IKEA after much belaboring and we are in LOVE! The boys are obsessed and I’ll let you guess who decided to be up top. It’s a huge space saver and definitely great for sleeping.
We have a rose bush. How do we know? Because this beauty bloomed in the last week.
With the start of school and fall schedules, I put together this little command center after getting some feedback on Facebook and Pinterest. The artwork was from the old house and the other additions came from Target, Hobby Lobby, and TJ Maxx. I’m in love! It’s in full use now, so it’s definitely helping (so far!)
The next big change was the removal of these bushes! Big and overbearing, they covered half of our windows and were a sight for sore eyes!
Jim set to work lobbing off the tops and they quickly made a huge difference.
He did both sides in one afternoon – using a saw and some hedge clippers. The garbage and waste people LOVE us!
My neighbors (and parents) surprised us by removing three of the four stumps one morning while we were at church! They did the hard work and we SURE were appreciative!
The After – We still need to add some flowers, plants, landscaping, but this has already made a HUGE difference. My project for the upcoming week will be this door. Remains to be seen how my handiwork plays out. I have an idea already, but what color do you think we should do?
The last space for organization is right by the backdoor. The perfect spot for backpacks, extra school supplies and miscellaneous items. This clearance shelf from Michael’s fits perfectly. The hooks were already there. And I have yet to get the sharpener to work for me. Needs my hubby’s touch.
This beauty greets us every day when we come home. Our first official lawn ornament. We love it!
So what say you? Do you like our little big changes?
