In the past few years, international children’s issues have been at the forefront of my passions. After a visit to Africa this past November, I’ve been digesting all the information of the struggles and serious issues facing our world’s smallest children. The Child Grooms of Nepal are no different.
Care.org and former child grooms are working together to create awareness and find answers for young children of Nepal getting married at such young ages. Boys are forced to be men and fathers and girls to women and mothers long before they are meant to be. Read about Pannilal Yadav and his life as a child groom. I could hardly imagine if Jack or Charlie were put in a similar circumstance. What kind of life would that mean for them?
Wondering how you can help? Help end child marriage today and by heading over here, learning more about the child grooms of Nepal and signing your name on a pre-drafted letter to your members of congress. This campaign is not designed to raise money, but to raise awareness for CARE.org’s initiative to end child marriage.
The world’s children are counting on us.
In what ways can you raise awareness about the child grooms of Nepal with your own sphere of influence?
