As a Verizon #MoreChicago Lifestyle Blogger I’m a member of a pretty cool
team of influencers. I have received a Motorola Droid Turbo (with a line
of service) from Verizon. No additional compensation was provided nor did
I promise positive feedback. All opinions are my own.
I’ve been hanging out with the #DroidTurbo by Motorola for Verizon now for about three months and fall more in love with the phone each day. I’ve share a bit about how this phone captures great memories, but I’ve found the full functionality extends far beyond what I ever really imagined. Since I turned over a new health leaf and decided to make my health a priority, I’ve opted to use my Droid Turbo now for pursuing my fitness to the fullest extent – from tracking what I eat to sharing music from my workouts. In doing so, I thought I’d share some of my favorite health and fitness apps from the Play Store and then a workout playlist for you to get your funk on.
This calorie counter and tracker enables me to monitor my weight loss and health progress. I love that it offers similar features to social media and I can track my friends and monitor my health and fitness goals. It’s simple to use and offers quick calories counts for just about everything I consume – including foods from popular restaurants and brands.
I’ve recently jumped into Yoga and love this app that makes things simple when on the go. I don’t always have the opportunity to take classes, but being able to have the moves at my fingertips has given me loads of motivation. Knowing that I can still pursue my goals, just from my phone is a great feeling.
You’re probably wondering what Netflix has to do with health and fitness, but when FRIENDS showed up on New Year’s Day, I quickly realized that I would be spending WAY too much time catching up and watching episodes, so I gave myself a treadmill challenge to only start episodes each day by walking for an entire 30 minutes.Watching on my Droid Turbo made it accessible and allowed me to use my treadmill or walk outdoors with seamless streaming. I never experienced hiccups or delays in streaming and instead could catch up on episodes easily – especially between school drop-offs!
Lastly, I am LOVING the Amazon music capability. Connected with my Prime account, access to music is KEY and enables me to get in the groove without having to lug a radio or somehow play from my computer. I can simply bluetooth to a speaker or blast from my phone and get a great workout. I also love the Droid configuration after coming from the iFamily. Can you say Swype?
I thought I’d share some of my favorites for my workout playlist, so that you could get your groove on also!
