Today’s post is sponsored by Pop Secret, by my love for their popcorn is all my own!
Throughout the day, with two littles, I find myself amidst forts, LEGOS, cars and more. The movie choices are relegated to whatever the latest kid flick on Netflix is and they pretty much rule the roost when it comes to figuring out what we are going to watch during our family movie time! Thankfully, when bedtime rolls around, I’m able to build my own sort of Mom Fort complete with Facebook company, Friends on Netflix and the delicious treat of Pop Secret popcorn (movie theater butter for the win!)
You can submit your own pillow fort pictures to Pop Secret’s Facebook page for a chance to receive a fun prize pack and other surprises!
Here are some great tips for creating the perfect Mom Fort after a long day playing amongst the little cuties:
1. Keep it Comfy!
Whether you’re slipping into yoga wear or sporting some leggings, keep your attire comfortable. No need to wear the heels and boots, keep the slippers snug and wear the comfiest thing you can find. No shame in the comfort game.
2. Choose your Viewing Selections
Whether you’re watching regular television or streaming from Netflix or Hulu, here are a few of our favorites to help you enjoy much of your downtime: Parenthood, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy or Friends are some of our favorites just to name a few. If you’re feeling particularly feisty and wanting to see a guilty pleasure, my pick is Glee, but don’t tell my husband!
3. Pick snacks wisely!
I love popping a bag of Pop Secret popcorn and pouring myself a snack one bowl at a time. It’s the perfect light and airy variety that won’t break the caloric bank if you shop Light and its great for sharing should you have a surprise guest join you after avoiding bedtime. Paired with a few pieces of chocolate and you’re ready to enjoy your little front room getaway as the kids nod off with Mr. Sandman. You can also find a $1 off coupon available on the Pop Secret Facebook page!
What are your favorite tips for relaxation? What is your favorite popcorn variety to share? What would you put in your mom fort?

We love popcorn nights around here. Some Friday nights, we just have popcorn for dinner! The kids love it.
