New Year’s Day was a big occasion over on Netflix as the entire series of Friends went live. Now you can watch all TEN years in one fell swoop! This is one marathon that I could actually get behind!
I must admit that since the series started when I was {ahem} much younger, I didn’t catch many of the episodes; however, as a beloved sitcom of many friends of MINE, I knew I had to give it a chance. I started streaming on New Year’s Day and once I got past the laugh track, I fell in love! And also quickly realized that my new best friend was the couch and my computer, not exactly keeping up with my New Year resolutions around health and wellness.
That’s when I came up with the idea that each evening, when I wanted to start a Friends binge, I had to watch the first episode of the evening on my iPad while walking on the treadmill. This way, even on the days where I was super busy and wanted to crash, I would still have no excuse to get SOME exercise in as well. So far, I’ve been keeping up with my end of the bargain. (Except for that night when the boys and I just HAD catch up on King Julien). Since the first of the year, I’m on Season 3 and about a third of the way in there. Don’t do the math – you’ll quickly see how much I love streaming…
