With the crisp Fall weather and the turn to scarves and boots, one of my meals is definitely soup! For a full range of fun, entertainment and delicious food, head over to “Soup’s On!” on Sunday, October 19th, at put together by the Rotary Club of Naperville. This family-friendly event will benefit the Hesed House, DuPage PADS, Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry and the Rotary Club of Naperville Charities. The event ties into the concept of a soup kitchen and feeding people in need – a main goal with each of these organizations!
As a mom, I know how important grocery shopping, menus and having food in our house can be to raising growing boys. I’m also acutely aware that not all families can simply find something to eat in their refrigerator. These organizations that benefit from the “Soup’s On!” event play a key role in helping families get food into their homes, refrigerators and bellies meaning that your participation in this event is vital for their continued service to the communities in DuPage County and the surrounding areas.
“Soup’s On!” will include a variety of soups, stews, chili and other specialty bread and yummy desserts provided from over 30 local restaurants, along with a special children’s menu available. Live entertainment from local school districts and a children’s activity area sponsored by the DuPage Children’s Museum means that the whole family can have a great time enjoying this day out, all while benefitting charity!
Located at Naperville Central High School located at 440 Aurora Avenue in Naperville, “Soup’s On!” runs from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 for adults, $35 for seniors 65+ and military personnel, $10 for children 6-12, and children under 5 are free. You can purchase tickets by going to Soups On Rotary and selecting “Purchase Tickets” from the left side of the home page.
