When I think of all the men and women who have fought over the years for our freedom, I am overwhelmed by their sacrifice. I think fondly of my Aunt Joan who was a Marine and continued to faithfully serve her country and those around her throughout her life up until the time she passed away in 2004. She was always the early bird, waking up early and getting the coffee going for the house. If she were here today, I imagine we’d share a cup while talking about how we could help those around us. #CMSalutingHeroes #CollectiveBias
She was always forward-thinking. She saw needs before they happened and met them when she could. A few days ago, I spent some time in my backyard sipping coffee with Nestle Coffee-mate creamer, reflecting on her life and the ultimate sacrifice of our military men and women. With flags all around, I was reminded just how much I enjoy the fact that I can freely raise my kids without interference from someone else.
When I look at my boys, I am so thankful for the sacrifice that has been made on our behalf. Because of this sacrifice, they can run, jump, and pursue their heart’s desire. We are so blessed to live in a country where freedom is cherished, but also where we must realize that it isn’t free.
Nestle Coffee-mate has partnered with Operation Homefront, an organization that provides assistance to wounded military members and their families. To honor these military heroes, Nestle Coffee-mate has decorated their French Vanilla & Hazelnut liquid creamer bottles and their original powder creamer in patriotic stars and stripes. You can find these patriotic coffee additions at your local Walmart from now until Independence Day this year while supplies last.
How do you remember those who have made an impact on your life through the military? Do you have a veteran that holds a special place in your heart?
