We received compensation in exchange for our review and work with The Gardner School. All thoughts, opinions, and big smiles expressed are our own.
As a mom, I know just how important finding the right education and start for your child can be. Charlie has almost two years of preschool (and headed to preschool) under his belt and Jack will be headed there in the fall so finding the right school is a big priority for us. We recently had the opportunity to spend the day at The Gardner School of Warrenville to learn more about what they offer families. The boys were more than excited to see what it was all about!
“The Gardner School is an award-winning, academically focused private preschool offering early childhood educational programs for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years old (Private Pre-Kindergarten). We’re committed to redefining early childhood education by providing a rich learning environment that will stimulate each child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth. The Gardner School is a first-in-class choice families can count on.”
One of my favorite elements of the school was the attention to details. Beautifully painted blue skies on the ceilings and a classroom hallway designed to look like a street drew me in. Each classroom represented a different storefront such as a restaurant or pet shop.
The classrooms are all bright, colorful and child-friendly. The boys loved the child-sized elements and the decor was beautiful.
The baby rooms include shoe cubbies outside to keep out germs and dirt-tracking. This impeccable attention detail were highly impressive.
One of my favorite features was the beautiful, serene nursing room. Designed with the parent-child bond in mind, this room is the perfect place to spend time with a nursing baby in the midst of a hectic day or for a bottle-feed during a parent’s lunch break. Each feature was picked out with peace and quiet in mind, including the colors of the walls and comfortable chair.
Think the crazy winter weather will keep these kids stir crazy inside? The Gardner School offers an awesome in-school play area complete with see-through garage doors for when the weather is warm enough to take these bikes outside. The brightness of the outdoors made the room feel spacious and fun.
Our visit to the Gardner School was absolutely wonderful. Designed with children as the center, the School captures the essence of childhood while encouraging free thinking, expansive learning, open play, and healthy habits. The meals include healthy, wholesome options, the curriculum is centered around incorporating different teaching methods, and the main teacher in each classroom has completed a four-year degree (a much higher standard than the basic requirement for Illinois). My boys absolutely loved their time there and have NOT stopped talking about it!
