Although I don’t have any sisters, I am lucky enough to have cousins who are also amazing friends. They are smart, beautiful, and an absolute joy to be around. Hallmark’s Friendship Cards make it simple to stay together, even when we cannot see each other every day. We stay connected through social media and cell phones, but everyone enjoys good old-fashioned postal mail! I put together a few surprises for them (and hope they do not read this first!) #ConnectingFriends #CollectiveBias
Up on the list first? Head to Walmart to pick out the perfect cards. The selection of Hallmark Value Cards are awesome, so for less than $1 (including a stamp!) you can send a thoughtful pick-me-up to someone you love in your life. While there, head over to the photo services and have some of your favorites copied for a nice sentimental surprise to include. I did a few myself and laughed out loud at how long it’s been!
Think you have to go to exclusively to card shops to earn Hallmark rewards? You can actually earn rewards when you shop at Walmart also which means no special trip necessary – just grab when you’re out doing regular shopping and start earning! For every five cards you purchase, you earn a reward!
One of my ABSOLUTE favorites is my cousin-sister-friend, Sarah. A beautiful person inside and out, she is a person you need to know. Her love of cupcakes and little knick knacks is adorable and she’s a true confidante. She also happens to be expecting her first BABY! So I wanted to drop a little “I love you!” card in the mail along with this little surprise. A reusable mug makes a great gift, but also stores other little goodies. I put together a small pedicure kit and bright, sparkly polish (like her) and voila! She can pamper herself and sip something delicious as she works on nursery plans, preps for baby shower, and deals with some of the aches of pregnancy.
Be sure to package carefully so as not to crack the straw. Everything else will be safely enclosed in the mug. And who doesn’t love an AWESOME striped straw?!
Sarah’s mom (also my cousin, trust me) has been a true support when I’ve been trying to lose weight. Even amidst difficult circumstances, she smiles, laughs and finds joy in the every day. I thought this card would be perfect for her and a #tbt picture of me as a clown {ahem} would be sure to brighten her day.
Lastly, Jen is spunky and raises a Jackson who is just as rambunctious as mine. Her funny messages and willingness to join in on my Instagram challenges usually have me laughing.
When the going gets tough, I want to remind her that things will always get better. Not to mention playing with Barbies and wearing sparkly dresses and crowns. (Goodness, aren’t we adorable?!)
With just a few dollars, you can brighten someone’s day and change their outlook. You can even earn rewards while you do it! Spread kindness and love to whomever you meet.
Strive to always make others feel better.
