I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias, Millstone® Coffee, and Mr. Coffee®.
With a husband’s job that requires him to roll out of bed at 5:30 a.m. and two early-rising children, coffee has quickly become a staple in our family’s household. Amidst the chaos of dirty dishes, growing to-do lists, and an endless cleaning shuffle, my morning dates with coffee are a cherished time of the calm before the storm. When a recent move destroyed our previous drip coffee maker, we opted to purchase the new Mr. Coffee® 10-cup Optimal Brew™ Thermal Coffee Maker from Walmart. Brewing 10 cups in less than seven minutes, we knew our morning coffee would never be the same. #CoffeeJourneys
We snagged a bag of French Vanilla Millstone® coffee – a super-premium coffee that honors quality product – to brew the next day. #CollectiveBias
So what does my perfect morning look like?
The children wake up refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for the day. They slowly descend from their bedrooms completely dressed and teeth brushed. {I am still sleeping hopefully.} The coffee begins to brew because I set everything up the night before. They are happily occupied and playing nicely together. They do not fight, but rather work together to make breakfast, clean up the toys, and prep the bags needed for when we are on-the-go. I’m allowed time for a leisurely bubble bath and have time to apply my make-up perfectly and nicely fix my hair. Clothes are clean, pressed, and ready to put on. I join my children at the breakfast table for homemade baked French Toast and a hot fresh cup of coffee. We discuss our day and then travel to our day’s destination.
JUST KIDDING!
Instead, our mornings usually look more like this:
Disheveled pajamas and art supplies everywhere. A sink full of clean AND dirty dishes ready to be washed, picked up and put away. Shoes strewn about, a lack of food reminder that I should have gone grocery shopping yesterday, and a fridge front full of commitments and reminders. But the one saving grace is the piping hot cup of Millstone® coffee in the corner of the picture and the reminder that while life can get crazy, it’s still pretty great.
Oops! Forgot I needed coffee filters. A 6 a.m. pouring rain run to the store for new ones.
Serenity.
These crazy days are even better spent with friends. Brew the coffee and invite everyone over for a day of fun! One of my favorite features of the new drip coffee maker is a feature that allows me to Pause ‘n Serve. I don’t have to wait for an entire batch to brew which means the friends that show up early for a morning playdate can have a quick cup of coffee before the day’s chaos really begins!
Want to try out a blind date with Mr. Coffee® and Millstone® Coffee? I’m willing to share! Simply enter the Rafflecopter below to win your very own drip coffee maker and a bag of your morning coffee.

I enjoy my coffee all day long throughout the day, usually morning mostly, afternoon, and sometimes when I need to stay up at night. I like mostly enjoying it in the morning out on my patio while checking my emails.

As you probably know I am not a coffee drinker but I love having people at my house. We serve them coffee from a cheap coffee pot and the coffee beans that Charlie sold for us. I would enjoy having something like this for my visitors. I love serving coffee and dessert.

My favorite time of the day to drink coffee is when I wake up in the morning. It’s 3 a.m. and I know that I don’t have to worry about anyone else in my house waking up and disturbing me. It’s my quiet time, time for me to go over what I have to do for the day, time for me to relax and daydream, it’s time for me to do whatever. And it is all good as long as I have that first cup of coffee in my hand.
