#DTour, #DTourRemix and an Explanation

If you’re friends with me on Facebook, then you’re probably wondering by now about all these random photo posts about my alleged #DTourRemix trip. It’s been funny to field questions, but considering the fact that MJ Tam is finally safely around the world, I figured it was safe to divulge a bit more about this adventure.

Last year, MJ was invited for the opportunity of a lifetime to tour Asia and experience first-hand the sights and sounds of the continent. My jealousy was showing during a recent get-together and I talked about how many adventures I planned to have while she was gone this month on her #DTour with DoubleTree by Hilton.

And thus, #DTourRemix was born.

Over the next month, I’ll be mirroring MJ’s trip here in the states (actually, just state, Illinois). It will be a fun adventure to show just how wild and crazy things can get for a mostly stay-at-home mom here while MJ is on the other side of the Earth.

From Me:

In a few short weeks, my friend, MJ Tam will be leaving on the adventure of a lifetime throughout Asia (#DTour). In an effort to live vicariously through her (and bring you adventures here stateside), I’ll be taking her trip on a little#DTourRemix. Hope you follow along! Oh and did I mention this RAD starter pack I received to get the trip started?

Toddler Backpack (it’s all I own) || 1st Generation iPad Box (my kids have taken the iPad itself) || 4-year-old Nikon camera || Two standard plugs for my phone and coffee – must haves! || Old make-up set, not yet sure what I’ll do with this.

*Please also note: This is a picture of Oak Lawn, Texas which looks significantly more exciting than my Oak Lawn. Disclaimer: I will not be visiting there at any time.
