Whether you know someone personally who has suffered the effects of cancer or have experienced it yourself, the effects of cancer are far-reaching. Last year, I had the opportunity to meet Sheila and learn more about her story when she and I performed together in Listen to Your Mother 2013. The story of her daughter’s journey with pediatric cancer and eventual passing is touching, emotional and one that has stuck with me since then.
This year, I am blessed to be part of the Third Annual Donna Day whereby we shed light on this awful disease and share so that others may find comfort and join together in our efforts to research, fund, and find cures of pediatric cancers. This year, St. Baldrick’s is selling these fabulous superhero shirts that will be 100% credited to the campaign put on by Donna’s Good Things for St. Baldrick’s.
On March 29, 2014, Donna’s Good Things will be hosting it’s 3rd Annual event for St. Baldrick’s in Chicago. Whether you donate, shave your head, or support the cause, know that every effort counts and is so deeply appreciated. In the past two years, Donna’s Good Things has raised over $195,000 for St. Baldrick’s! Jump on board and you’ll be doing your own good thing.
