Remember that treadmill? I even managed to make it through a second week. But could I possibly maintain my momentum amidst the Christmas chaos and sweet treats?
The answer is YES! I even managed to run 2 miles ON CHRISTMAS EVE despite two family parties & working. I took Christmas Day off and after a long run on Friday, I rested on Saturday as well. Definitely worth it!
Victories
Working out amidst the holidays. Definitely worth it!
WATER! Downing water like it’s my job and it’s doing WONDERS for my cravings
Kicked the soda habit three weeks ago and haven’t looked back
Sayonara to the fancy coffee drinks – with the exception of one TALL peppermint mocha
Ran amidst cramps and the start of sickness, virtually unheard of for me
Ran for a full 3.5 miles this week. Without walking. Slower pace, but I’ll take it! (Say WHAT?!)
Met the maximum on my treadmill for calories burned – 999
My blogging has been neglected – mainly because of the December chaos, but also because I’m trying to focus on my health. Don’t worry – 2014 will have me back and better than ever as I get back into the groove of movin’ & writing!
How’s everything in your neck of the woods? Ready to head into a new year and usher in 2014?

You are awesome!!!!
If I had space in my house for a treadmill, I would get one!! I walk with a friend when the weather is nice. Otherwise, I workout with the Kinect. When my baby goes to school (August), I want to join a gym.
