We received a set of complimentary lessons in exchange for our post. All opinions expressed are our own.
As the boys get older and their exposure to swimming pools grow, I’m becoming more mindful of their ability to swim. This past summer, both boys became fully comfortable in the water with Puddle Jumpers, but were still hesitant on some things and were not eager to put their heads under water or try anything like that.
Enter Goldfish Swim School in Naperville!
Daddy took them to their first lesson last week and I went this week. We were both impressed above and beyond with the facilities and the staff. Beach-themed and geared towards kids, the School is bright, colorful and detailed. Features like blow dryers, swim suit dry spins & a parents area that includes toys for the little non-swimmers, I love everything about the way it was set up.
On our second visit, I could see just how much the boys looked forward to class. Jack jumped out of the car and said, “I’m SO esscited!” They identified their teachers from the previous week right away. They were each in their own “class” and only one other student in each. The instructors worked with them on simple concepts, but also challenged each of them slightly which I really like.
I was in the parents’ waiting area – better photos next time!
Jack hangs on for dear life. Floating is a concept he’s still working on!
So far, I have been impressed to the max with Goldfish. Beautiful facility with professional instructors, Goldfish Swim School is a highlight of our week. You can find them on Facebook for even more up-to-date information. I plan to update in a few weeks with more information once our initial weeks of lessons are complete!
