A few days ago, my hubby told me about a new restaurant that he saw on his way to work – little did he know that less than a week later, I’d be dining at Fogo de Chão Restaurant in Rosemont and enjoying the company of great friends!
Fogo de Chão literally means Fire on the Ground. With a series of deliciously seared meats in Churrascaria style dining, this Brazilian Steakhouse will delight your senses. The staff is helpful, friendly, and available to answer all of your questions. The meats are endless and choices can be made based on your preference in how your meat is cooked.
In addition to a full bar, Fogo de Chão also offers specialty drinks including Guarana – a ginger ale type drink with hints of cherry. Delicious, refreshing and the perfect light pairing for a big meal.
The salad bar is yummy and has over 40 offerings. I will caution you to not get sidetracked; the meat will be coming around shortly after! From hot items to fresh salads & fixings to fresh cheeses & breads, you’ll find something to suit any palette.
Cheese-filled rolls (their specialty), a beautifully designed wine cellar & bar, meat that comes to your table as requested or desired based on the green or red of your placard means your experience is unique, but spectacular each time.
The beauty & deliciousness doesn’t stop there. The desserts will be the final wow factor on your meal, so be sure to save room for them. Might I suggest the cheesecake? Absolutely out of this world! AND even better, if you visit the Rosemont location of Fogo de Chão in the month of October and mention “ChicagonistaLIVE,” you’ll get a free dessert of your own!
Additional features for the Rosemont location is the private rooms – able to accommodate up to 101 people. The rooms do not require a rental fee and include access to television and Wi-Fi. This would be the perfect location for a family occasion, business lunch, or even to celebrate a birthday. You simply pay for the food, but get the private space!
Fogo in Rosemont is located within the MB Financial Park in the heart of the city’s thriving business district at 5640 Park Place in Rosemont, Illinois. Lunch is $26.50 (Salad Bar only $19.50) and is served Monday – Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Dinner is $46.50 (Salad Bar only $22.50) and served Monday – Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Children six years of age and under enjoy complimentary dining. Children seven to 12 years of age dine at half price. Beverages, desserts, taxes and gratuity are additional.
#ChicagonistaLIVE will be broadcasting live from #FogoRosemont on Oct. 8th, 2pm CST with special guests: WTTW’s Check, Please! new host Cat D’ Orio and Guy-a-titian David Grotto. Tune in then to find out if you’ve won! I’ll also post the winner on my blog & Facebook page.
