I am thrilled to be writing a sponsored post on behalf of Quaker and their spectacular line of breakfast foods.
A few weeks ago, I shared with you how Quaker Fuels our Family and keeps us active. Last week, we had the opportunity to head over to Toyota Park to see the Chicago Fire practice and check out how Quaker fuels them.
Second Star Club
Our first stop at Toyota Park was the Second Star Club. This premier all-inclusive luxury club provides comfortable seating, private space with bar and food, and other perks. You can purchase on seat for an entire year and then get access to all events at the park or just one seat for a particular event. The Club gives you a great view of the field and entire stadium. Quaker served up a delicious breakfast, including oatmeal, fresh fruit, granola bars and some AH-MAY-ZING Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies that we snagged to take home with us.
Charlie fuels up before the hard work of watching other people run around. We also walked around the park, so that definitely helped keep his energy levels up as well! (Have I mentioned that taking three boys to a soccer field is tiring?)
Toyota Park – the Stadium
Seating 20,000+ people at any given time, Toyota Park is a beautiful outdoor stadium that offers bleachers and regular seating. There’s also a special section where Quaker can Fuel Your Fire! Throughout the game, you can find families here and Quaker passing out special samples of their most popular products. Having never been to a game ourselves, we vowed to attend next year and visit Quaker’s special section! The Chicago Fire offers a family four-pack of tickets for just $99 which includes four tickets, four drinks, and four hot dogs. This fun local night out allows your kids to experience a Major League sport at minor league pricing.
Plush Seats included with a Second Star Club ticket
According to a recent Quaker Oats Survey, 91 percent of moms want believe it is important for their kids to have a nourishing healthy meal before an activity, but only 31 percent of those believe they have found something that’s easy to give their kids but also healthy. Enter Quaker. Whether it’s instant oatmeal or Quaker Big Chewy Granola Bars, Quaker offers a variety of options to help fuel your active family. As a sponsor and in partnership with the Chicago Fire, Quaker also helps fuel the team and the Chicago Fire Juniors. They recently paired up to host the Quaker Invitational in which thousands of players from around the country came in for a weekend of soccer and fun.
Practice Time
Paul Cadwell, Director of Soccer & Team Development, told us the team was having a fun practice today. Preparing for the upcoming weekend’s game would come in the next few days, but for now, they scrimmaged and practiced some basic drills. The boys and I talked about the stamina necessary to play soccer and how physically fit the players were. I even made my nephews and Charlie run around the field a few times to burn off some extra energy!
Getting Comfortable
As a mom, I loved that the team was so accessible. We could see them up close and later the players came over to talk to the fans that were waiting on the sidelines for autographs and pictures.

Charlie later gets a surprise high five from Austin later on…
Treats!
Quaker teamed up with the Chicago Fire to put together some great gift bags for us! We’ve already used the Old Fashioned Oatmeal to add some oomph to our hamburgers and meatloaf. We also received Perfect Portions Maple Oatmeal, Granola Bars as well as those Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies that I was raving about earlier! (Seriously though, finish reading this and then run out and buy them.) Notebooks that I sent with my nephews to start the school year and some plastic tumblers that I now use daily to drink my recommended servings of water from!
How do you find healthy snacks for your kids to fuel them up before a big game or practice?
Momma Mina says
It was a fun time for sure! Love the specs on the stadium and seating pricing. Well Done Momma!
