Summer has had us experiencing an extensive amount of storms. The result is much tamer weather than the end of June typically has and for that, I am grateful. It also means we spend quite a bit more time outside and out of the air conditioning. I decided to get some exercise by walking with the boys to the park. Charlie seemed to transform from my shy, scared little guy and wanted to try all the various climbing ladders, ropes, & rings around the playground. He conquered all but one (he was too short) and I was so impressed at his willingness to try new things and persevere. We had several talks about bravery and being confident in his abilities. A few times, he visibly shook before I talked him through his next task. He was so proud, I reiterated how proud I was of him and he was SO excited to share his success with Daddy, Momma & Poppy when we got home! He is truly blossoming and I can’t believe that at 4.5 years old he is SO grown up.
