I’m receiving complimentary race admission and am so excited about this opportunity to get fit and not worry about being super competitive!
You’ve probably seen the growing popularity in adventure or “fun run” 5ks. From foam to mud to colored dyes, fun adventure runs are all the rage right now. When I began to run a search for these types of runs involving women only (because the last thing I need is to compete with men!), I came across the SHAPE Diva Dash.
What is it?
Forget barbed wire, fire pits and mud. We’re talking a women’s-only 5k course dotted with fun obstacles sure to challenge your agility, balance, strength and speed. Add in copious amounts of tutus, boas and bling, plus enthusiastic camaraderie, and you’ve got SHAPE Diva Dash.
When is it?
Date: August 03, 2013
Time: 9AM – 2PM
Location/Directions: Sandwich Fairgrounds, 1401 Suydam Road Sandwich, IL 60548http://divadash.com/sign-up/
Why Run?
In addition to super fun obstacles…
and the chance to run the race using your creative fashionista style,
you can experience an event you won’t soon forget. Countless memories if you run as a team, experiencing personal satisfaction if you run competitively and seeing that women of all SHAPEs, sizes, and ages can be fit, healthy, and fun in this women’s obstacles adventure run.

I absolutely love when these 5k runs offer something unique like dressing up and stuff like that. It makes it a lot more fun than just a traditional marathon! I’d totally wear a tutu!

Amazing! I am in awe of anyone that can run… I’ve tried so many times over the years. But with my arthritis, it gets in my joints so much {feet, ankles, knees, hips} – it never works. But this looks SUPER fun!
