Hey God, I’ve Got Some Guy Named Jonah in My Stomach and I Think I’m Gonna Throw Up is the story of the whale in the famous story of Jonah & the whale from the Bible. Imagined from his perspective, this story helps kids discover a creative way of learning about Jonah. The “Parent Connection” feature (inside the book) will help moms and dads take the story further with scripture references and tips on how to talk with their children about what really happened. Brought to you by B&H Kids and available May 1, 2013, this story takes a common classic and provides a new spin on it!

Charlie loved this book and cracked up every time we read it. I loved the fact that I could utilize it to tell a common story from the Bible differently so that he would gain a new understanding of what lessons we were trying to learn from it. As a parent, having a way to teach our children about God’s word in a way that’s exciting, colorful, and new can sometimes help in getting our message across. I’m excited for the future books as well! Other books available include Hey God, Can You Stop the Rain so I Can Get off Noah’s Smelly Ark? and Hey God, I’m Having an Awful Vacation in Egypt Thanks to Moses!
How do you teach your children valuable life lessons? Do you utilize fictional books to do so?
