Almost three years ago, we found out we were expecting another baby {now Jack}. A few months after that, we found out that Charlie would be getting a little brother. The ultrasound tech quickly determined that the bouncing baby was in fact a boy.
Today? I can’t believe I actually have sons. Brothers.
Their love is astounding. Even at the age of two and four, I can see just how intensely they love one another (see Exhibit A above – and yes, that’s a legitimate hug). Calling for one another, mimicking the other, and just plain living to BE with one another.
May you always know the love of your brother, boys. May you always know just how much you will support one another and stand through thick and thin. May these bonds not be easily broken by this world. May you know the love of your brother for a lifetime. I’ve seen the unfortunate occurrence of living life and forgoing family. After me and your daddy, your back-up will be your bro. Your #1 fan, your water boy, your all around buddy, your birthday-month sharer.
Did you wrestle after this? Yes. Did this frustrate me to no end as a mother? For sure.
Did you hug afterwards? Of course.
Fight as you will, but always remember to hug after. Love you both from here to the moon.

I was a tiny bit disappointed when Andrea found out she was having another boy, but now I wouldn’t trade them form anything. Sure they beat the tar out of each other and then hug and make up. They’re the best gifts I ever got!

I have 2 boys (and one older girl) as well. It seems that while they do fight often, they always say they’re sorry and hug each other when it’s through! <3

My son and daughter have the same strong relationship. Love watching them play together, fight together, grow together.

You have cute little boys. I have two girls and one boy, but when my girls were little, my oldest would always be right there with her sister, making sure she was ok and all. Now my youngest daughter does that with her brother now, like having him under her wing.

Aww, how sweet. I only have one son who constantly asks for a brother. Maybe one day…
