Happy Saturday! We are just 30 days away from Christmas – have you jumped on our RACK bandwagon? We are embarking on a journey with others to commit Random Acts of Christmas Kindness. First up, we have an ADORABLE one from my friend, Ashley, and her son, Noah (Noah just started Kindergarten this year). Sharing in this with our kids is a fantastic way to teach them about giving! Ashley and her son created Blessing Bags for the homeless in downtown Chicago. She even brought her one-year-old Avery with!

In our bags we had: (we made 6)
Small bottle of water
Can of raviolli
Apple sauce
Fork
3 Granola Bars
Crackers and Cheese
2 packs of kleenex
Baby Wipes.
Whisps (for the teeth!)
deodorant
hand sanitizer
Hand warmers
Gloves
Socks
(spent $50)
We also brought along some old sweaters too that family had donated to us to give away as well. All of the people were extremely grateful thanking us over and over. Others gave us funny looks. But not one person standing by said ANYTHING to us about it (which I thought was shocking, as Noah was the one giving and talking to them). We handed them out along Adams street from Union Station and headed east.
We would definitely do this again making more bags and having more people involved. Handing out the sweaters seemed to be more appreciated. (The man in the picture was so thankful for the sweater he even tried it on to make sure it fit!)
