Can you believe that Thanksgiving is TWO (!!!!!) weeks from today? Where is the time going? I love this time of year and the time to give thanks. It’s also the time to enjoy turkey (both the craft & food variety). Yesterday, my friend, Mari, did this quick & easy craft for little ones (using foam!)

Today I wanted to do something fun with the girls that was Thanksgiving related, so I went to my art supplies and found pieces of foam.
I knew that the girls would love to make Turkeys!
Materials: Foam in various colors, Glue sticks, hole puncher, Ribbon (to hang your turkey) and a pen or pencil.
First I helped the girls cut out the body out of brown foam.
Next we cut out some feathers out of yellow and orange foam.
We used some of the leftover orange foam to make some feet for the turkeys.
With the hole puncher and some white foam, you can make the eyes.
We also cut a small tear drop out of red foam to make the waddle.
Lastly, I cut out two small pieces of ribbon to hang turkeys with.
Once you have everything cut out the girls started to glue everything on and had a blast! Mommy helped hole punch the top of the turkey and tie the ribbon on.
I asked the girls where would they like to hang their creations and the said pumpkins so here is the finished product.
I am thankful for being able to spend time with my girls and had fun making the turkeys.

Thanks so much for sharing, Mari! What a fun way to celebrate Thanksgiving and practice some colors, cutting & gluing also!

Which reminds me that I have two foam turkey projects for Charlie to do next week.
