Instead of buying a bulky bucket (and attempting to store that year round), I’ve usually opted for recyclable bags to use while trick or treating with the boys. This year, I decided to make some canvas bags that we could re-use year after year. (Can you believe Halloween is in like two weeks!?! Do you already have your costume picked out?)
I quickly put together these DIY Trick or Treat bags for Charlie and Jack that will last for years and look cute! Here’s what you’ll need:
Mod Podge (they do make a fabric version, but this is what I had on hand); A paintbrush; Halloween/Autumn inspired fabric, and canvas bags (I found mine in a pack of three for $4.99)
First, I washed the bags with a regular load of laundry. Then, I cut out letters (free-hand) for each of the boys’ names (just the initial). Simply mod podge the letter onto the canvas bag. I preferred mine centered.
Voila!
Cute and easy enough, right? Charlie has already been practicing with his around the house – (proper manners of course!) No tricks, just treats here!
