So here’s what’s happening in the life of Charlie Bear:
He had his preschool physical this week and the doctor made it his Four Year Old appointment also. He passed development as a four-year-old with flying colors (three and a half now). Dr. Massih also said he was an “amazing patient” and he was so brave during shots time. He didn’t even cry! (And was rewarded with iPad time, a sticker, and animal crackers).
He recently told Jim (when arguing over dinner), “I don’t LIKE mac n cheese! I LIKE string cheese! And gum disease!” {direct quote mind you}
He is literally ecstatic to go to school and mentions it daily. If he could take a bus there, he would.
He wrote his letters today and is beyond proud of himself.
He also drew this:
Oh, you don’t know what that is?
It’s Rapunzel! Her body is in the corner and that big long line is her hair!
He is extremely picky with what he eats. My one saving grace is smoothies.
Fruit + spinach is our friend.
He loves learning and I can only hope that continues to be something he loves!
Oh, what can I say about Jack?
He also attended Charlie’s appointment and to every question the doctor asked of Charlie, he replied with a strong affirmative “NO!” He also tried to climb up on the exam table, pulled out the stirrups, opened the door twice, spilled his snacks, and picked in the garbage for a bit. Dr. Massih just looked at me and laughed, “He’s feisty, isn’t he?!” His appointment is in a few weeks, so we’ll see!
He makes a “cheese” face where he scrunches up his nose and grins like a Cheshire cat. He LIVES to entertain and he ALWAYS wants to make people laugh.
He is his own person. Period. Don’t mess with him. or his Will. He will win.
He vacillates between driving us crazy and making us laugh. Most days, I hope it’s the latter more than the former.
That’s my boys in a nutshell right at this moment. I can’t believe how quickly time is flying!
