It’s no secret that we LOVE the Brookfield Zoo!
Don’t believe me? Check out just a *few* of our visits there:
Despite having unseasonably warm spring weather, we have been way to busy to head out to Brookfield. So this past Tuesday, we met up with Melissa and fellow winter baby, Matthew {almost 7 months}, for a visit.
Charlie did extremely well! He walked the entirety of our time there, including to and from our car in the loooong parking lot. He only asked once to be carried and it was near the end of our trek. Packed lunch, penguins, park time, popcorn, dippin’ dots and sprinklers – it was a fun day!
Jack last in the stroller for the first half hour, but then was struggling to get out. I then decided to let him walk run. Hilarious because this kid never ever stops. Like ever. We chased and chased and chased and chased him. He never got tired, I did. He ran this way and that, sometimes following, somethings not. I even saw someone I knew, but couldn’t stop to chat because he was on the move. I managed to wrangle him a few times and we lived to tell about it.
All in all, even without daddy’s extra set of hands, we managed to survive our first zoo trip of the year, but I’m thinking maybe next time we need to bring him along….
