Recently, we trekked up north to Milwaukee for some fun in the sun, splashin’ in the water, and a look at LEGOs up close and personal for their annual LEGOKidsfest that travels nationwide.
First up, Charlie heard from a Master Builder!
Listening intently…
Where we spent 200 minutes of our 201 minutes there…
Building cars
Racing time!
My Master Builders (and hunks at that!)
This was a completely set up display until it met Jackzilla…
Just kidding!Â
Crowds & Lightning McQueen
Stationary Ride
A chance to add to the map of the U.S.
The attention span of our boys was not long enough to actually build something to add!Â
Lego creations (the SuperHeroes were incredibly impressive!)
Overall, the event was fun, but seemed to be geared towards older kids more adept at building. They had a smaller children’s area that consisted of Duplo blocks, coloring, and a smaller LEGO brick pile, but for the most part, the sections were pretty simplistic. Â If we were to go back at some point, I’d definitely wait until my boys were a little older!
Did you get a chance to visit the LEGOKidsfest? What did you think?

I have young boys too, but they already LOVE building things! The LEGOKidsfest looks like it was a lot of fun… I wonder if/when they’ll be in the Chicago area… 🙂

Oops… I didn’t read what to comment about before I commented. 🙂 My boys love the Peanuts characters, so I think Snoopy would be fun! (do they have white legos?) 🙂

I know my boys and lil girl would love to dive into that massive lego pile and build their own airplanes. What a great giveaway Sam!

our own family, that would be cool!
My bride this weekend got ready at the Westin in Wheeling…which was blocked off because of a LEGO convention!?!

Well, I personally would choose Abraham Lincoln. But that’s probably not who my kids would pick! : )
