Whenever we make a trek out to the store, I try to plan going there based on how the boys are doing (between nap times, early in the morning, etc.) Occasionally, getting through an entire grocery trip requires food (mainly to keep them occupied and thinking of something else!)Â
Mr. Jack sits in the front, Charlie in the back. One carton of strawberries next to Jack and next thing I know, he’s taking a bite out of it!
And how cute is he?Â
He gnawed on that for a great while and then we moved on to the next one. Charlie demanded one then and they were content for quite some time.
And don’t worry, we paid for each and every strawberry that was consumed as well!
How do you keep your littles occupied during shopping trips?

I never take long shopping trips with the baby by myself. She’ll stay happy sitting in the front of the cart for maybe 10, 15 minutes, and then she starts getting upset until I pick her up.
As for Oliver, we’ve worked really hard at getting him to walk through stores. It involved a few public tantrums and break downs, but now he’s great at it! He walks with us and enjoys helping grabbing the items that I tell him we need and putting them in the cart. He now knows where most of our regular items are in the grocery store, so I can tell him, “OK, we need eggs!” and he gets really excited and leads the way.

ANYTHING goes as far as snack bribes, that’s my non-rule 😉 Seriously, my kids eat worse while going through the grocery store than they do the entire rest of the week! Love that yours nosh on strawberries 🙂
