Every year over Memorial weekend, our family heads over to the estate of Bill and Riya (and I do mean ESTATE! They have a pond, a backyard neighbor horse, a hot tub, and plenty of wildlife friends!) This year was no exception. Apart from the delicious food & libations, they busted out an old-fashioned slip n’ slide! As if the flat-surfaced glide wasn’t enough, Bill moved it over to a hill while two people stood at the top with hoses to ensure maximum wetness. Then, he added about 50 feet of plastic sheeting. Two rafts and a kiddie pool later? We don’t mess around! We had a blast!
The scariest part was that getting adults to go down took absolutely NO convincing. The first woman to make that trek? My mother! (Kudos the matriarchs of the family for showing us just how to slide around!) Charlie was all about it and just kept going up and down! The two daredevils (Jack & Ethan) barely got near it!
We have the best family!

I love the inflatable raft idea to glide down on. As a kid, I hated Slip ‘N Slides because it seemed I always went over a sharp rock. maybe in a few years, we’ll get a slip in slide and a raft or boogie board to slide on it safely.
