I’m finding that three is such a fun age. Just a few quips about our big {little} fella lately…
Also, how adorable is this picture? And this child? mwwwwah!
While at the park, Charlie was in the train area and frantically searching for Jack (who was about 100 feet away, playing with wood chips). After informing Charlie that his littlest buddy was across the park, he ran after him screeching, ‘Hey, hey! Get over here, look at me! Come in here!’ To which Jack looked up and then went back to his wood chips.
While at Walmart, I asked Charlie what we would see there. He replied, “Fish, cakes, and samples.” He regretfully informed daddy, 8 hours later, that, “They ran outta samples!!!” As if the world had suddenly crumbled down.
Charlie is the ring bearer in Jim’s sister’s wedding. When I told him about his job in the wedding, he replied, “I’m going to be a reindeer?!” After clarifying for him, he confidently responded, I’m going to be the ring bear. (Sarah, I promise, we are working on this! haha!)
Charlie also informed me that food goes down his intestines (this is old news for him), but then something about glucose breaking it down. And yes, he said glucose…
He also loves to go to “school” on the computer (lessons that Jim finds for him) and he learned how to work our new Mac faster than we did.
His “th’s” have recently started being pronounced properly. Before that? “E-fan!” “Jona-phan!” I’ll admit, this one has me a little weepy-eyed!
He has to pick every.single.dandelion on the way to the park. He has to carry every.single.dandelion with him while playing at the park.
He recently ran his first lemonade stand and when he wasn’t shouting, “Customers! Customers!” and jumping up and down (The movie, Cars, fans will understand that reference), he was…drinking all of the lemonade himself. When I asked him who the money was for (hoping he’d say poor orphans in Africa), he said, “for Cormac (friend), Mark (friend), and Hilary (Mark’s mom).” Sorry, friends, the money IS going to orphans in Africa and not you!
How have your kids brightened your days lately?

I can just picture him roaring at the wedding like a ring “bear.” Hehehe. I’ve been trying to record some of the cute things Oliver says, too. Toddlers are hilarious.
