After seeing how much Charlie LOVES to go to church and attend class there, I knew he’d be thrilled with a park district class as well. I signed him up for PeeWee Sports which is a combination of basketball, soccer, and tee-ball to see what he might love! (Even though I know he leans towards soccer…) Surprise, surprise! The first week was soccer! He had a BLAST! He ran, ran, ran and listened well to Coach “Bubba” (despite being one of the youngest). He scored a few goals and was SO proud of himself! This will definitely be something we continue!
Excuse the quality of these photos from my phone.
I’ll be bringing my camera next week for some better action shots!
For most of the first part, each kid received their own ball and chased it all over the place! Charlie did a great job and knew right away to kick, kick, kick!
Just sittin’…(It shall be noted that Ms. Pink has already committed Charlie’s name to memory and enjoyed repeating it whenever the teacher said it….)
David Beckham? Is that you?

Jack was….interesting….to say the least. He was SO active and wanted to run after those big kids that I could hardly believe how much he wanted to be just like them! He ran into the court frequently and eventually, we were met by the Director who offered crayons, paper and his own basketball to calm him down. The front desk crew LOVED Jack and got a kick out of him.
As the other kids went back to their parents at the end, Jack finagled his own one-on-one session with Coach Bubba – he even kicked that soccer ball into the goal himself! This could spell trouble!
