I cannot believe we are already entering our 3rd day of October! Apart from some snippets here and there, I have been blog entry-less. I vow to remedy that this month! Look for birthday celebrations, fall parties, pumpkin patches and Halloween goodies! All treats & no tricks this month, I promise! What does your October hold?
I’m so excited to celebrate Oliver’s birthday next weekend. I wish you guys lived nearby so you could come! We’re hosting it at a local pumpkin festival, and all the kiddos are coming in their costumes. Unfortunately, the forecast has a high of 62 for the day, and our early morning party will probably be in the low 50s. Even though it’s chilly for little ones, I’m hoping they’ll keep warm in their costumes.
I just bought a bunch of apples on Saturday to make apple butter, too. I want to make it tonight (it cooks for 12 hours), but if I do, I have to get up very early to do canning before Oliver’s awake. The other option is to wait until Friday, and I’m not sure the apples will stay fresh until then. Hmm. Anyway, I highly recommend making apple butter. It gets you into an autumnal mood!
