Seven.

Boys,

On this day, seven years ago, on the 7th of August, Daddy and I were married. He is everything I wanted in a husband and father to my children. He is everything I want the two of you to become. 

He puts God and family first. He loves us unconditionally. He understands stress, but doesn’t let a bad day ruin his mood. He is head over heels in love with the two of you. He treats me with respect. He likes to have fun and even pushes back bedtimes, just to enjoy the fireworks you love so much. He is smart, handsome, and caring.

If I would have known that the combat-booted, Metallica band shirt-wearing, long-hair flowing boy in high school would become the man I wake up to each and every day, I would have done one thing different – married him sooner.
