I LOVE ornaments and I love that we have so many now that I actually get to select which ones go on our tree and keep others for years to come. My mother-in-law started a neat tradition for me in which she buys a personalized ornament for us each year to commemorate what we are usually celebrating or what happened during that time. I’ve featured those as follows:
2003 – Engagement
2004 – Our 1st Christmas
2007 – Graduate Law School
2008 – Eagerly expecting our 1st baby (Charles Aiden)
2009 – Our 1st Christmas as a family of three!
2010 – Charlie is about to be a big brother! (ONE OF MY FAVES)
2010 – Expecting Baby #2 (She attempted to find a family of four, but apparently, they only come in the single pregnant mother with another child variety – no dad!)

What are your favorite ornaments?
I love this post because I love ornaments. I told my mom last year if and when she gives up putting up a big tree or passes away I want first dibs (minus personalized ones for my brothers) on the ornaments. I don’t care. They all can get the house and money. lol I want the ornaments!

Oh and the downstairs tree has all of the ornaments that my Grandma gave me throughout the years and some are from other people. The ones from Grandma are my favorites.

my fav is our Mickey and Minnie Mouse Just Married ornamament that we bought in Disney World when we were there on our honeymoon over 10 years ago. It’s always the first one to go on the tree.
I also liked my Scarlet O’Hara ornament. Something so dainty.
