As another weekend comes to a close, I thought I’d give a quick recap of all we did over the weekend. On Friday night/Saturday morning, cousin Jonathan slept over. We played the Wii, watched a movie, went to Lake Katherine and the Little Red Schoolhouse. Charlie LOVES his cousins and is enamored with them every time they come over or he’s around them! Then, we met littlest cousin (Jason) & Auntie Jessica & Uncle Jason at the Frankfort Fall Fest for some food, fun & gorgeous sunshine (with a poop explosion, not Charlie, to boot!).
On Sunday, we headed to the zoo for a mom-to-be baby shower for mommy & for some fun animal time! Charlie got to try some great new samples and enjoyed exploring his own independence walking around the zoo! That afternoon, we spent time with Momma, Poppy, Uncle, Mimi, Kaeli, David, Jonathan and Ethan! We took the wagon to the park and Charlie shared it with Ethan for the first time – we even got to see Ethan walking! (He’s only 10.5 months!!) It was lots of fun. We ended the night at Grandma & Grandpa’s house for more visiting – and boy, was Charlie tired then!
For Labor Day, we ate breakfast out (B. Square – yum!) and did a Target run. We spent most of the day at home, watching 30 Rock (Charlie LOVES the theme song now) and going through ALL of his clothes – he needs NOTHING for the next YEAR! We are ending the day with homemade broccoli soup & the smell of chocolate chip banana bread for the week & brownies for dessert….happy end of Summer! (I know, I know, not technically…)
