This is our most recent family picture as a Family of Four. I count baby in-utero because he or she kicks high enough that I’m sure the legs & feet are in this picture!
Over the weekend, we learned just how difficult it will probably be once we transition to a family of four. A big difference once the baby arrives is that I won’t be pregnant (at least for a long while) and I’ll hopefully have some energy back. Charlie is a big guy & my back has already begun to strain under his weight – wrangling him becomes more difficult with each passing week.
We will soon be moving into a man-to-man defense and some days, I’m not sure I’m ready! With two of us, our toddler can run us ragged some days. With two of them, what in the world will Daddy and I do? But I know this time is for a season and it will be a season in life that passes all too quickly for my liking. If you have advice or suggestions on how to keep life a balance, I’d appreciate it. In four months, we become a family of four – an adventure I’m anxious, but excited to embark on.

Sam, I can imagine what you’re thinking and feeling! Your family is going to be so complete and happy… but it’ll also be chaotic, I’m sure! Do post your experiences and what it’s like adjusting to two kids, as well as how you balance your time between the two. You’re going to do a great job because you’re an awesome mom!
