Charlie’s birthday party was held on January 17th and generally a success. The theme was Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang, complete with home-drawn characters by daddy, peanuts, peppermint patties, a guessing game, a Charlie quiz, and general memorabilia. Favors were Puppy Chow with cute tags and the food was all-American – Sloppy Joes, Mac n Cheese, a Chili bar, Chicken, and Potato Salad. We ended the day with cake and chocolate chip cookies. In lieu of gifts, we requested books for the Books for Africa charity. We collected SO much and will update later with totals. Despite that request, Charlie was also blessed with many gifts, including toys and a fancy new (large) wardrobe. Thanks to everyone for their contribution in that regard.
I could literally name everyone who attended, but that would take up a LOT of space and time. With over NINETY guests, I have many shout-outs, so I’ll put just a few here. The rest will come in the form of Thank You notes.
